This is the boss everyone wants to work for!
His name is Dan Price, founder and CEO of Gravity Payments, a credit card payment processing company in Seatle, America. Last year he raised all his employee’s minimum wages from US$48,000 to US$70,000 because he believed those who works for him shouldn’t be working just to make ends meet. Not only that, he even adjusted his own salary from $1.1 million a year to $70,000 a year to fund the new policy.
The employees all labelled him “The Best Boss In The World” and as a sign of appreciation, they all chipped in over the course of 6 months to buy a gift their boss always wanted. It was a big surprise and the boss couldn’t contain his emotions the moment he saw it.
This just proves once again that what you give, you will usually receive…and sometimes by 10 folds.
Or simply karma as some would like to call it.
With Dan’s fortune, he could have easily purchased the Tesla himself, but receiving this Tesla from all his employees pitching together, along with a poster full of signatures as a sign of love and support, this is NOT a car that money can buy.
Truly heartwarming moment for Dan and through everyone working together including the “extra” efforts put in, Gravity Payments have doubled their profit the following year.
Other “Best Bosses” around the world
For all the other hard working employees out there who couldn’t get into Gravity Payments and don’t have a boss anywhere near the qualities of Dan Price. You may be happy to know that there are other Best Bosses around the world who also treats their employees really well.
